The National Volunteer Group (NVG) COVID-19 in Ogun State is a voluntary group whose members are drawn from Medical and health practitioners, Legal officers, Accountants, media practitioners, ICT experts, the National Youth Council of Nigeria, National Council of Women Society, Non-Governmental Organization promoters and artisan groups.
We have a membership strength of 16,070 volunteers as we are spread over the 236 wards of the 20 local governments in the State. This NVG COVID-19 is been led by our Executive Director as the Ogun State Coordinator. The group has held community mobilization and sensitisation activities on COVID-19 in 9 communities in each of the 236 wards in Ogun State.
We have engaged and used the traditional media, new media and conventional media in the dissemination of our messages. We have developed five different jingles being aired at the media houses.
